This blog was created to both share information and promote dialogue related to the idea of “Sensing Energy”. Designer Jamie Wolf of Wolfworks and Solar Designer Amelia Amon of Alt.Technica have been participating in an exploration of Aesthetics and Energy in Sessions and Tracks they have created for NESEA‘s annual Building Energy Conference beginning with a presentation by Amelia in 2003. At the 2007 Conference in Boston they participated in a session on, what else, “Aesthetics and Energy” and shared much of what was originally posted on this site. Where it goes from there will be determined by the responses and comments generated by the interests of those who discover and participate in the site.

Saw your presentation today at NESEA – keep up the GREAT work. Your sense of the magnitude of these issues is right on: if we can’t make beautiful things that work in regenerative ways with natural systems, we’re all sunk.
